Blown Fibre

Blown fibre systems provide a simple solution to today’s ever increasing network demands. Blown fibre allows optical networks to adapt to your business requirements with on demand rapid deployment to any point of your network internal / external.

Blown Fibre Installation

Blown fibre provides a simple solution to today’s ever increasing network demands. It allows optical networks to adapt to your business requirements with on demand rapid deployment to any point of your network internal / external.

With the use of compressed air to blow fibre elements & cable into pre-installed micro tubes from end to end.

Fibre Unit (FU) 2, 4, 8, 12 Fibres & Blown Cable from 24, 48, 60, 72, 96, 144 Fibres can be deployed into a single tube.

As Approved Installers for Emtelle (fibreflow), Brand-Rex (BloLite) & Prysmian (Sirocco, Excel, Tyco/Krone), we offer Blown Fibre & Cable Services throughout the UK with use of our fully equipped blowing vehicles.

Your Benefits

Flexibility of Network Design
  • Allows future fibre technologies to be deployed without disturbing existing networks.
  • Accidental damage to the fibre network can be easily rectified with little cost.
  • Additional nodes can be added to the network with massive savings over conventional fibres.
  • Different fibre types can be deployed within the same route i.e. OM1 & SM.
Fast Installation Speed = Lower Installation Costs
  • Tube routes can be interrupted at any location along its route for network upgrades.
  • Higher fibre counts – up to 244 fibres can be deployed quicker than conventional fibres.
  • The flexibility given by blown fibre systems over conventional fibre can substantially decrease network build costs by 50%.

Installation Environments

Industry
  • In large industry environments such as Gas, Power and Water plants, the blown fibre network is widely used for long haul routes.
  • Future technologies within the site, determines the network requirements: blown fibre can be deployed with no disruption to the site infrastructure.
Campus & Multi Campus
  • The use of the blown fibre system in network backbones, allows I.T. Managers to have huge flexibility within Campus & Multi-Campus sites.
FTTH – Fibre To The Home
  • Blown fibre networks can be installed directly to the customer’s intake position or either into the basement of apartment block – splitting off to individual internal tubes.
  • This allows fibre to be deployed on demand.
Blown Fibre Units (Fibres)
  • 2, 4 , 8, 12 Fibre units
Fibre Types
  • Single mode.
  • Multimode 62.5 / 125 – OM1.
  • Multimode 50 / 125 – OM2.
  • Multimode 50 / 125 – OM3.
  • Multimode 50 / 125 – OM3e.
