Testing of any fibre installation is one of the most important steps in ensuring your installation is working to its full capability.

We OTDR test each installation to assure our customers of the adequacy of their installation. Each customer is then presented with a CD-ROM of all readings for future reference. We also provide 24hr hire of an engineer and OTDR equipment within the UK for certification and fault finding.

FIBRE TO THE DESKTOP (FTTD)

With the ever increasing need for speed and security, FTTD is fast becoming common in the modern work place. Each desktop is supplied with a small fibre cable from the patch panel and terminated into a wall, floor, or distribution outlet - much the same as the commonly known cat5e outlet. Advantages of FTTD include high bandwidth capability for voice, data, video and network security.

FUSION SPLICE & TERMINATION

With the ever increasing fibre optic hardware available - all of our trained and experienced engineers are able to carry out terminations and splice procedures to suit all of our clients' needs - from hot melt to pig tail splicing of multimode and single mode cable.

BLOWN FIBRE

Blown fibre consists of 5mm or 8mm micro dusts contained in an outer cover. Available with 1, 4 or 7 micro ducts - each capable of carrying 8 single or multimode fibres. Once installed each fibre can be blown via compressed air from end to end without expensive cabling costs.
We offer our customers Comprehensive Design, Duct installation, Fibre deployment, termination, and certification.

Advantages of such blown fibre installations :

  • allow future expansion very easily
  • traditional costly cabling is eliminated (by as much as 50%).

Micro ducts are available in internal or external grade.

  • Campus building links
  • Sub floor links in buildings
  • Large cable runs
  • Rapid fibre deployment for efficient installation time
  • Simple push in connectors to cut splice joints.
